Music For The Long Dark -- Volume Two
Glad to hear that there is an ITunes release planned. Will definitely be checking here and the store regularly. I'm also homestly amazed that the game has 1:40:00 of music; it's amazing how much work you guys put into this game for the soundtrack which is longer than lots of games and for the gameplay is not a central or obvious feature most of the time.
The invasion of Westeros by the First Men and their encroachment into the lands of the Children of the Forest, the natives of Westeros, led to a long period of warfare between the two people for control of the continent. As the Children grew desperate, a group of their greenseers, resorted to dark magic, capturing one of the First Men and turning him into the first of the White Walkers, whose purpose was to protect the Children from the First Men. However, the White Walkers grew beyond their creators' control and became a threat to anyone living, becoming the most feared creatures in the known world. Recognizing the danger, the Children and the First Men reached a peace known as the Pact.
Sounds are everywhere, and the volume of a sound is described in decibels (dB). Sounds less than around 70 dB are safe and won't typically affect your hearing. As sounds get louder and/or the amount of time you listen to loud sounds gets longer, damage to your hearing becomes more and more likely. (Related: When Should I Worry About Ringing In My Ears?)
"What many people may not realize is that the maximum volume of personal listening devices is well above 70 dB, and when you're using earbuds or headphones to listen to your music the sound is going directly into to your ear," explains Dr. Wang. "Listening to your music too loudly, as well as loudly for extended periods of time, can indeed cause damage to your hearing over time."
"We were renegades in sneakers and T-shirts," says Teddy. "We had long hair and played loud and some of the country folks resisted us for a while. But then of course they did accept us and then after that, our success made it lots easier for other bands to try it in country music."
"I was in Nashville," he says, "walking by this club full of young people--I'm talking 18 or 20. The band started playing 'Dixieland Delight' and everybody in the place started singing and sang all the way through. I had to smile at the longevity of the songs. Maybe some of those kids didn't even know who ALABAMA was, but they knew the music, and so I think that's a tribute to the fact that we spent a career putting out good songs that stand the test of time."
In 1985, Jeff, along with Albert Lee and Steve Morse were named the top three guitarists by Guitar Player Magazine's Reader Poll. Jeff plays electrifying lead guitar, and all of those "hot licks" on the fiddle you hear are Jeff, too. Between the guitar and fiddle you would think Jeff stays pretty busy. Well, 'Mr. Energy' has been deemed the "workhorse" of the group AND also plays keyboards, bass and mandolin. In his time off the road and in addition to music, Jeff enjoys coming to Fort Payne to work on electronics projects, go bass fishing, watch TV, and work in his recording studio, Cook Sound Studios. 2ff7e9595c
